REINSTEIN,

Robert (Bob)

George Louis

Passed away suddenly at his home in Nanaimo, Jan.27 2008, Bob was born in Victoria on Nov.28 1953. Predeceased by his father Herbert in 1984. Survived by his loving mother Mary (Mollie) of Victoria; brother Gary (Lorna) of Chemainus; and his sisters Heather (Willie) of Kamloops and Marnie (Rob) of Victoria; and a stepbrother Richard Hadley of Victoria. Also survived by a very special niece Carrie (AKA Turkey Shoot) (Norm) of Duncan; and other nieces Tracey (Larry) of Chemainus, and Sherri (Kevin) of Abbotsford; and nephew Mike (Jeanette) of Mission; and several great nieces and nephews. He also leaves many friends and workers from the fishing industry.

Bob owned and operated his tugboat the "Strady XV" for many years out of Campbell River. He lived on-board the "Strady XV" and worked her throughout the north coast. For the last several years he put his passion for diving to work and was an urchin fisherman working from his latest boat the "Manatee". "Tugboat Bob" will be missed. He was loved for his crazy sense of humor, eccentric character and never ending supply of tales collected from his lifetime of navigating and working his way up and down the British Columbia coastline. Bob's presence was captivating, and few who met him would soon forget his colourful disposition. We will all miss you Bob.

We invite family and friends to a gathering to share memories of Bob at Sands Funeral Chapel Reception Hall, 1 Newcastle Avenue, Nanaimo, B.C. on Sunday, Feb.10 at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The B.C. Heart and Stroke Foundation or The B.C. Cancer Research Center in Bob's name. Online condolences may be offered at www.sandsfuneral.com
