Rita May
died peacefully October 17th, 2007 at St. Josephs ECU with family by her side. She was born January 10, 1922 in Vernon, B.C. to the late Harry and Alice Ford.
Rita is survived by her children Diane, Donald, Darrell (Helen), Deena (Bill) and her brother Len (Ida). She leaves behind ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John (aka Jack), and her brother Jim.
A memorial service was held for Rita at St. Peter's Anglican Church in Comox, B.C. on Friday October 19th at 11:00 am. The Rev. Lars Olssen officiated. Funeral arrangements were handled by Sutton's Campbell River Funeral Home.
Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada and Oceanview's Piano fundraiser at St. Joseph's Hospital ECU.
