After a brave fight with cancer, Kerry passed away in hospital near his home in Acton, Ontario, where he has worked and lived for many years.
Kerry was born in Duncan and spent his younger years in Lake Cowichan, Rock Bay, and then to Campbell River where he attended school until he graduated. Kerry was very active in Sea Cadets and also worked at Super Value when it was on the Tyee Plaza.
Kerry is survived by his four sons, Michael, from Ontario, Richard (Alanna) at Halfmoon Bay, Mathew (Elizabeth )o fCalgary and Daniel (Teena) from Alberta, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his three brothers, their wives, his sister, two stepbrothers, and wives, his stepmother, and sister in law, many aunts, nieces, nephew, and cousins.
Kerry was predeceased by his parents, Metro (Mac) and Sheila Kowbel, his brother Kurt and stepbrother Steven.
