In loving memory ~
We lost a good one. Rick left us suddenly and unexpectedly on May 23rd at the Campbell River Hospital, despite their best efforts.
Survived by his wife Micki, son Clinton and his family, sister Joyce (Ed), brother Wilf, numerous nephews, treasured friends David (Christine), Ken and Melanie, and the select group of peeps closest to him (you know who you are).
Rick was a good man with a strong moral compass. He was kind hearted, quick witted and had a great sense of humor. Never afraid of hard work, Rick was employed in many different fields during his lifetime, always contributing his best and proud of the takeaways. In his spare time he spent countless hours tinkering; if it needed to be fixed, Rick was the guy. He could also BBQ a great steak, was never late a day in his life, the Canucks were his team and Judge Judy made him laugh.
A lifelong hunter and fisherman, Rick truly respected the outdoors. He had great memories of many hunting and fishing trips. Sitting around the fire either on one of those trips or in the backyard, a little Crown Royal may have been consumed. His favorite happy place was sitting on the deck overlooking the backyard enjoying a drink with Mick.
Rick was deeply loved and is sorely missed.
There is no service by request. You could however raise a glass in his honor and remember him with a smile. That's how he'd want it.
A small gathering will be held at a later date. If you'd like, donations to the Heart Fund or a Charity of your choice.
