Richard Dalton Gavel
September 11, 1950 – August 9, 2011
Rick was born and raised in Campbell River, BC and remained there throughout his life. He worked hard and provided for his family for many years as a truck driver. He his survived by his wife of 30 years, Colleen Gavel; his three daughters, Courtney Riel, Tara (Scott) Richardson, Katherine (Jared) Welychko and six grandchildren Genevie, Clark, Gage (Courtney), Eli (Tara) and Gianna (Katie); Also his sister Mary (Jack) Hindle and nieces Leslie and Nicole. Rick will be remembered for his love of fishing, crabbing, boating and also for his great sense of humour.
There will be no service. Rick’s ashes will be spread at sea by his family, somewhere he always loved to be.
