Rhonda Lynn Johnson (nee Rennie) of Richmond, BC, passed away at the Palliative Care Unit at Vancouver General Hospital on December 12th, 2016 at the age of 49 , after a brave 8-month battle with a rare cervical cancer. Rhonda is predeceased by her mother, Joyce Rennie (1992). Rhonda is survived by her loving husband, Stephen (Steve) Johnson of 19 years. They were married in Pentiction, BC on August 2nd, 1997. Rhonda is lovingly remembered by her sister, Lori Rennie, of Vancouver, BC, and her father, John (Jack) Rennie of Penticton, BC, as well as her brother-in-law, James Rennie of Vancouver, BC, sister-in-law Leanne Gray and husband Dr. Stuart Gray of Courtenay, BC, and nephews Tenzin Gray and Bodhi Gray. Rhonda was the adored niece of Rosemary and Colin Edge, of Penticton, BC, HerbPartridge of Campbell River, BC, Andrew Rennie of Chryston, North Lanarkshire, Scotland, and Eileen Rennie of Stonehouse, South Lanarkshire, Scotland and much loved cousin to Brent Edge and Brian Edge of Penticton, BC. Rhonda was born in Campbell River, BC. She moved to Penticton, BC, in1973, graduating from Penticton Secondary School in 1985.
A memorial service for Rhonda will be held in the lower mainland in January, 2017, at a date and location to be named later. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to be made to the BC Cancer Agency at donate.bc.cancerfoundation.com/goto/Rhonda.Johnson
