Rhoda died after 18 days of loving and compassionate care at Campbell River General Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Warren, of 67 years, son Michael of Bakersfield, California, his wife Juanita, beloved daughter in law Beverly, grand daughter Heather, and three great grand children.
Born in Missoula Montana, she grew up on a small poultry farm 30 miles west of Missoula. she married Warren in 1937 and was a constant companion and business partner until her death. The couple immigrated to Canada in 1987 from California and Rhoda was very proud when she was granted Canadian citizenship in 2003. She was an accomplished aircraft pilot with commercial and instrument ratings and a glider rating. She was a seamstress and an accomplished quilter. Rhoda will be missed by her family and her many friends.
A Celebration of Her Life will be at the McDougall residence, 3847 McDougall Way at 2PM, Saturday, April 16, In lieu of flowers, donations will be welcome in Rhoda’s memory at the Campbell River Hospital Foundation, P.O.
