Rhea (Maria)
Passed away January 29th, 2003 in Campbell River General Hospital. Rhea was born on April 10th, 1930 in Amsterdam, Holland. Her teenage years were spent during World War II in occupied Holland, where she had the responsibility of helping to feed her family. In 1957 she immigrated to Canada where she met and married Augustine (Gus) Moldowan. They lived in various areas of British Columbia, and eventually settled in Campbell River. She had endless amounts of energy while raising three children. During their retirement years, Rhea and Gus enjoyed traveling and visiting their children. Rhea (Maria) will be remembered always for her love and loyalty to her children and her enjoyment of shopping. Rhea (Maria) leaves to mourn her passing, her sons, Augustine Jr. (Deborah) of the Queen Charlotte Islands, Brian (Betti) of Alberta, her daughter Debby (Rod) of Fraser Lake, BC, and her grandchildren: Ryan, Kimberly, Skye, Michelle, Krystal, Jacqueline, Tyler and Torey. She will be missed. Service will be held on Tuesday, February 4th, at 11:00am. at the St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 34 S. Alder St., Campbell River, BC.
