It is with sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of our beloved papa. He was predeceased by his parents Andre & Magie, a childhood brother Victor and brother Luc. He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years Marie, his daughter Joanne (Ken) Del Casino, sons Roger (Lisa) Richard, Raymond Jnr. (Sheila) Barriault. His very special grandchildren Tejay & Ashley Del Casino & Kayla Barriault. Brothers Johnny (Mary) Vancouver, Joseph (Quebec), Leon (Ontario), his little sister Rosemarie (Gerald) Blampied (Quebec), nieces & nephews, many brother & sister in laws back in Quebec. Also his step granddaughters Brittany & Stephanie, and step great grandson Rocky.
Our Dad was born in Carleton, Quebec, at the age of 15 his older brother in Vancouver called him west and said there was money to be made in the woods. He came, he worked a long loved career in the logging industry. Logged in the Queen Charlottes, Toba Inlet and retired from the good old red and white, M & B Kelsey Bay Division in 1993. Up until his passing, still logging with his dear friend Ed at the sawmill he loved it.
We made some great journeys camping all across Canada, heading east to visit family. Six of us in a van wow we have great memories. After retirement dad and mom purchased a motor home and made some wonderful trips around North America.
Our dad was a very loyal friend to many. He loved fishing, hunting, and the C.R. Storm. Last but not least the coffee hour at McDonalds.
He was adored and loved deeply by his family, he was a great husband, father & grandfather. We will forever cherish his memory deep within our hearts. Eternal rest to you dad, until our family chain is linked together again one day in heaven. The memorial service was held in his honour on September 25, 2010 at Saint Patrick's Church.
