Long time Campbell River Resident passes away
Ramona Jeanne Vanstone (Finnie) passed peacefully away July 14th, 2003 at the Campbell River Hospital. Ramona was born in Kamsack, Saskatchewan November 22nd, 1924. She and her family moved to Whaletown, Cortes Island until Ramona’s marriage to Alfred Vanstone. Ramona is predeceased by her parents Pauline and Henry Finnie and by her husband Alfred. Ramona will be remembered and missed by her children, Noel, Harry and Kathryn and their respective spouses, Arlette, Judy and Mike, and sister Elaine Richens. Ramona had four grandchildren, Daryn, Mary, Sara, Anna and Trevor as well as four great grandchildren, Kyla, Sydney, Mackenzie and Kirsti. Ramona had a large extended family that included step grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held, Monday July 21st @ 1:00 PM at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 228 South Dogwood St, Campbell River, B.C. The family gratefully declines flowers in lieu of donations to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation in Ramona’s name.
