RALPH CALVIN
WALKER
Nov. 5, 1938 – March 23, 2010
Gone Fishing!
Ralph waited until the sun was shining and then he peacefully left us for his ?nal ?shing trip! He has been reunited with his parents, his brothers Arnold &
Dennis and many of his friends.
Left to mourn are Ralph’s wife Joanne, his children Gary and Cory, his stepchildren Shelley (Rick) and Scott (Donna), his grandchildren Stormy, Justine, Devin, Paige and his brother Bob (Dorothy). Ralph also leaves behind 8 nieces and nephews and their families.
In the words of a friend, “Ralph lived a life – one hell of a life!” Ralph lived to ?sh, hunt and of course, work. He was very active with Ducks Unlimited and he truly enjoyed his “lunch club” gang. Ralph’s circle of friends is huge – we’re sorry we can’t mention you all.
Born in Kelowna, Ralph’s family moved to Campbell River in 1955. Ralph joined the Air Force in 1957 and served until 1959. He returned to Campbell River where he drove logging truck until 1966 when he started his real estate career with Eaton & Conway. Ralph was a real estate icon for more than 40 years in Campbell River. He served on the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board and was inducted as the 6th Honorary Member in October of 2009.
A Celebration of Ralph’s Life will be held at 1 o’clock on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at the Sequoia Springs Golf Club.
