passed away peacefully in the West Coast General Hospital on Saturday, March 22, 2003 at 72 years of age. Born in Tiel, Netherlands on July 6, 1930.
Predeceased by his parents Pietertje and John. He is survived by his family: children Bill (Roseanne), Lucy Nagel (Darrol), Rochelle Kokkelink (Jim) and Peter Jr., 7 grandchildren: Jordan, Tanya, Lacey, Kirby, Carly, Tyra and Austyn. Pieter is also survived by Jacoba, the mother of his children, brothers Arie (Willy), Jan and Bill (Gerry), sisters: Joop (Nico), Pieta (Joep) and Nell (Wim) as well as numerous other relatives and friends, including special friends: Garda, Folkert, Wendy, Marijke, Ralf, Anne Micke, Art, Britt, Kris, Jenna, Josh, Brandon, Kayla, Jordan M., Taylor and Kaelin.
Pieter was an avid outdoorsman and was also active with a number of organizations within the Alberni Valley including the A.V. Flying Club, the Alberni Valley Remote Control Club, and the Europa Club.
Friends are encouraged to gather and share their remembrances with the family at a memorial tea at 1:00 PM on Sunday, March 30th, 2003 at Stage West School of Performing Arts, 4653 Margaret St., (behind Harbourtown Ford). Cremation will take place.
