Peter Bowers 1965 – 2011
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Peter “Pete” Bowers confirm that Pete died tragically in the beautiful waters of Carrington Bay, Cortes Island, on August 26, 2011. Pete was born in Ontario, but he was a long time Campbell River resident who loved good times and good friends. He loved to play his guitar and enjoyed bringing a smile to the face of anyone he met. Pete was a carpenter, a musician, a son, brother, uncle, father and friend. We will miss his sense of humour, his carefree spirit, and his genuine love of life. Pete leaves to mourn; his mother, Madeline, his son Jason, and his seven brothers Douglas, Larry, Randy, Gordon, Billy, Rob, and Donnie.
Peter did what he loved…and loved what he did.
A service for Pete will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the Campbell River Baptist Church, 260 South Dogwood Street, Campbell River, BC. There will be a reception downstairs immediately after the service. Messages may be left for the family at
