Pearl Margaret Alberta Schram (nee Wells) was born on October 22, 1921 in Sunderland, England. She passed away on January 16, 2017 surrounded by family and friends.

She is survived by one sister Ethel May Pratt of Dorset, England, two daughters, seven stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pearl was a Northern England Cinema Queen and a ballerina with Sadler Wells Ballet Company in London, England before the Second World War.

She was a radio operator during the war bringing Pilots home. Where she had the privilege of meeting King George, Queen Elizabeth (mother), a young Elizabeth and Margaret.

She immigrated to Canada in 1945 as an English War Bride. The past year and a half she has lived in Nanaimo prior to that 44 years in Campbell River with her husband Elmer Schram who passed in 2015.

Pearl was a florist in Campbell River well into her 70’s and a very active member of St. Peter’s Anglican Church.

A Celebration of Life will be held Jan. 28th at 2pm at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 228 Dogwood St., Campbell River
