Paul Roger Donat THERIEN

August 27, 2007

THERIEN,

Paul Roger Donat

Paul was born on April 30, 1940 in Ottawa, ON to Gilbert and Alice (BOUTIN) THERIEN. He has now “gone fishing” forever, leaving this world on August 27, 2007 in Campbell River, BC.

He was pre-deceased by his mother Alice and his sister, Aline NORMOYLE, and is survived by his father Gilbert, son Robert, grandson Chad, his brother Andre THERIEN, and several nieces and nephews.

For 30 years Paul was a miner at Inco. He tried prospecting for a while, and loved to fish. His wish was to be cremated and his ashes spread at the Discovery Fishing Pier, Browns Bay and at Kelsey Bay - his favourite places to fish and to chat with anyone that wanted conversation.

There was only one thing he liked better than fishing - and that was playing Texas Hold ‘Em. He was affectionately known as “All In Paul” which pretty much tells the tale… There will be a memorial evening in his honour, playing the game he loved, on Sunday, September 9, 2007 beginning at 6:00 at 991 Petersen Road. A potluck dinner and cards - we know he’ll be there, and invite all his fishing and card-playing buddies to come and reminisce. Call Andre for more information at 205-0448.
