SMITH – Patricia Margaret, of Courtenay, passed away peacefully in her bed at home on Tues., Dec. 6, 2016. Pat is survived by her sister Erica Kelley of Vancouver, Washington, nephews Eric and Kevin as well as many dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents Peg in 1966 and Eric in 1981. Pat was an active member of the Comox Valley Naturalist Society and was a keen outdoor person who enjoyed swimming, cycling, hiking and bird watching.
A gathering in celebration of her life will take place on Thursday, December 22nd, 2016 at 1:30 pm from Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay, followed by refreshments in the Garden Room of the Funeral Home. For those wishing, donations in Pat’s memory to an Environmental Charity of choice would be welcomed.
