It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden death of Paloma Estella Haines. Paloma passed away peacefully in the early morning of Saturday, December 20th in Calgary, Alberta. She was 26 years old, born in Campbell River on May 18th, 1988.

Paloma is survived by her parents, Mark and Bianca, her brother Arlan, grandmother Mary, Uncle Donald and Aunt Eleanor, and many more cousins and family members. Paloma made innumerous friends wherever she went on her many ventures, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Paloma spent her childhood growing up on Quadra Island, and in Campbell River. She loved art from a very young age, curious of her father’s work as an artist. She found inspiration in all aspects of life and incorporated them in her creations. Paloma had a generous, compassionate and creative soul, and lived every day to the fullest.

A service will be held Saturday, January 3rd at 2pm at Saint Peters Anglican Church in Campbell River to celebrate the life of Paloma.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC SPCA.
