Norah (nee Forde)
Born April 10, 1914, died peacefully March 29, 2002, after a lengthy illness. Norah worked many years as a bookkeeper for Franklin Electric in Courtenay.
She was the younger sister of past mayor of Campbell River, Ken Forde, and of the late Larry Forde, publisher of the North Island News.
Two nieces, Sena Millan of Nanaimo, and Linda Adams of Oyster River and her very good friend Carmen Lawlor(who dedicated herself to looking after Norah when her health was failing) will miss her a lot.
Many thanks to Carmen Lawlor, Dr. Robert Arnold and to the second and third floor nurses at the hospital for looking after Norah with compassion and great care. There will not be any service after cremation.
