In loving memory ~
Born in Ochre River, Manitoba, middle daughter of Kate and Albert Hamilton.
Survived by Lorne, her husband of 63 years and her main caregiver for the past many years. Also survived by her son John whom she adored and who took every opportunity to visit his Mom, cook for her and keep her entertained with stories. Nora was predeceased by her son, Brent in 1996 who left her a legacy of two amazing grandchildren - Cale and Rebecca, of Victoria of whom she was inordinately proud.
Nora is also survived by two sisters - Lorna Winter (Peter) and Judy Atkinson (Bill) and several nieces and nephews.
Nora's creativity was witnessed by many through her work at the Willows Garden Centre where she was a whiz at producing beautiful flowering baskets. She will be fondly remembered by the "team" that she worked with and about whom she spoke with affection.
Thanks to her many friends who kept in touch especially over the past months. Special thanks to Gail, Stacey and Deanna (her "other" family) who piqued her appetite with wonderful food, lots of old picture memories and frequent visits. To the staff on 3-D at the Campbell River Hospital who cared for her, loved her and were entertained by her ...thank you!!
Nora's death leaves a very big empty space in our family. Her humour, warmth, sense of fun and her incredibly positive nature will be sorely missed. While we recognize her suffering is over and we are grateful for that; our suffering will linger for a while yet as we adjust to a world without our Nora.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Nora's memory to the Campbell River Hospital Foundation or the charity of your choice.

give me away" Merritt Malloy
