Nina was born in Nelson, BC., on August 21st, 1922, and attended Crofton House School from grades seven through eleven.

When her family moved from Nelson to Vancouver in 1938 she attended and graduated from Magee High School in Kerrisdale. She attended U.B.C., graduated in 1944 and was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. After graduating, she continued her education in Boston Mass., and became an Orthoptist. She practiced in Vancouver and Los Angeles for a number of years, subsequently retiring in White Rock, BC. She suffered from emphysema in her later years and moved to Campbell River in 2001 to have her medical care and general affairs overseen by her nephew James and wife Myra. The family wishes to thank Dr. Walker and the 3 North Hospital Staff, Continuing and Home Care Nursing Staff, especially Barbara Boniface and Pat Hayhurst. Deep gratitude is also extended to Anna, Maria, and the Care Aids at Sunshine Manor, and to Reverend S. Ray Brandon of Comox.

Nina is survived by her brother John and his wife Margaret of Comox and her three beloved nephews and their families - Jim and Myra and their children John, Paula, James and Nina; John and Linda and son Brenden; Michael and Valerie and son Ryan.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30pm. on January 31st at 1139 Moore Road, in Comox with the Reverend S. Ray Brandon officiating.
