Myrtle Irene Mair passed away on Monday, February 5, 2007 at Valley Haven Guest Home in Chilliwack, BC. She was born September 23, 1914 in Quesnel, BC. Myrtle is survived by her daughter, Bobbie (Gordie) Philbrook; sons, Glyn (Mary) Kelly, Charlie Kelly; stepdaughters Bonnie (Faron) Campbell and Evelyn Bookey; grandchildren Chuck (Elke) Kelly, Jeanie Kelly, Marie Tentes, Glyn (Trina) Kelly Jr., Patrick (Theresa) Kelly, Craig (Nancy) Philbrook, Glenn (Carla) Philbrook, Patti (Jamie) Burley and Cindy(Clint) Kelly; great and great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Myrtle was predeceased by her husbands, Charles Kelly, Philip McDougall and Thomas Mair; granddaughter Annie Kelly; daughter in law Lois Kelly; sister Hazel Kelly; brother, Leonard Houser; cousin, Gladys “Chick” Grayson, and niece Myrtle Bessett.
Myrtle was a member of the Army, Navy, Air Force Veterans Association, Tauras 298, Vancouver, BC. She loved her large family, her home in Cultus Lake and traveling, especially the cruises. The family wishes to thank Dr. A. Whetter and the nursing staff at Valley Haven Guest Home for their excellent care and the friends and relatives who visited her.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 1:00 pm from Cultus Lake Memorial Church, 74 Fir Street, Cultus Lake, BC; Reverend Weldon Holland officiating. Reception will follow at the Cultus Lake Community Hall.
