It is with great sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of Muriel Winnefred Sloat, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Born in Lestock Saskatchewan on February 10, 1939 longtime resident of Campbell River. Muriel passed away in Campbell River Sunday, October 21, 2007. She is survived by her partner Philip Proutue. Her three daughters, Brenda Snowdon (Harley) Sandra Dalton (David) and Cindy Pinder (Doug), 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, and extended family.
Sincere apologies to those who could not attend the celebration of Muriel Sloat's life on October 27, 2007, due to unforeseen circumstances of this notice making it in the paper last week.
A special thank you to the wonderful luncheon tea provided by, Campbell River's Ripple Rockets square dance club. The many phone calls, flowers, food and support have been most appreciated. The presence of so many family members and friends has been, and continues to be of great comfort to the family during this time of grief.
