September 21, 1936 - October 3, 2020
Born on Sept 21, 1936 in Portage la Prairie to Reg and Lena Wilson, Morley was raised in Richmond, BC, and was promoted to glory on Oct 3, 2020 at Yucalta Lodge with family by his side. He is predeceased by his wives Joyce (1988) and Dot (2001), his parents, and many siblings.
He leaves behind his cherished partner Sharon; children Diane (Larry), Joanne (Willie), and Keith (Mady); Sharon's children Janet, Richard (Yvonne), and Kim (Wayne); his beloved grandchildren Will (Cyndi), Laura (Gerad), Kiana, and Jayden; his adored great-grandchildren Ethan, Brayden, and Madeline; and Sharon's four granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
Morley spent his life hunting and fishing; he had many lifelong friends that joined in that passion. After moving to Campbell River, Morley worked at the pulp mill for many years and in 1969, he met Joyce and her 3 children. Not long after, they purchased a home on York Road and worked as a family to make it their own.
After Joyce's passing, Morley retired to Sayward with Dot, where he spent countless hours talking with "Andy" from his front porch. There, he engaged in the local community while taking in all the nature the Sayward Valley had to offer. He especially loved watching the ocean, woodworking, and caring for his fishpond.
Morley was blessed to meet Sharon in 2013, and they had many happy adventures travelling, laughing, and just being in each other's presence. They moved to Campbell River in 2018 for his health needs. Our thanks to the wonderful, compassionate people at Yucalta Lodge that cared for him in his final days.
The Service will be held in Sayward by invitation due to COVID-19.
