Montague (Monty) Marshall Bingham passed away in the Campbell River Hospital, surrounded by family on the morning of May 1, 2018 at the age of 98.
He is predeceased by his wives, Etelka Bingham (nee Stuart) and Joan Bingham (nee Sauer); his son, John Bingham; his brother, Peter Bingham; and sisters, Marjorie Harbord (nee Bingham) and Barbara Brereton (nee Bingham).
He is survived by his brother John Bingham (Jean); sons, Daniel Bingham, Bruce Bingham (Julia), and Peter Bingham (Raina); his grandchildren Jennifer McPhee (Scott), Nora Bingham (Paul), Carla Robb (Tim), Cali Melnechenko (Mike), Sonya McLaren (Joey), Tessa Bingham, and Mauro Fernandez von Waldenburg; his great-grandchildren Alison McPhee, Jaclyn McPhee, Taiya Savard, Beau McLaren, Oliver Melnechenko, and Rogue McLaren; as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and step-children.
A celebration of life will be held for Monty at the Quadra Island Legion at 2 PM on Sunday, May 13, 2018. Please join us for light snacks and shared memories.
