With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Mike - son, husband, father, brother and friend. Mike was much loved by many and known for his soft heart, kind acts and wicked sense of humour.
He is mourned by his wife Tricia, son Dylan, parents Dick and Dianne Patterson, grandmother Virginia Patterson, brother Chris (Christel), and sisters Barbara and Casey. Mike is also mourned by his parents-in-law George and Wendy Banning, brothers-in-law Wade (Kathy) and Mark; many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of special friends.
Born in Prince George, Mike spent his early years in Kingston, Ontario before the family moved to Campbell River where he attended school. He graduated from Brentwood College, Mill Bay.
Mike worked in the Aquaculture industry for many years. This is where he met and married the love of his life Tricia in 1998. Their precious son, Dylan was born in 2003.
Mike was a respected journeyman plumber and an avid Tyee Fisherman. He will be remembered most of all for his desire to help others. We will miss you, dear Michael “FISH ON”.
A memorial service of celebration and thankfulness of Mike’s life will take place on Saturday, July 5th at 2:00pm at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 145 Simms Road, Campbell River.
