Michael, Ray Podgorenko

It's with profound sadness that The Podgorenko Family announces the passing of Michael on November 4, 2022 at Victoria General Hospital.
He was born and grew up on a large farm in Creston, BC. At the age of 17 years, he moved to Victoria and became a union electrician for Camosun Electric and worked all over Victoria, then went up to Campbell River to work for 39 years as a private electrical contractor.
He loved gardening and growing things, which was the farm up-bringing he knew.
He is predeceased by his mom Kay and father Mike Podgorenko Sr., three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his wife Sylvia of almost 56 years, his daughter Shannon (Paul), son Jerred, daughter-in-law Galit and granddaughter Shyly, daughter Meggan, son-in-law Jordan and granddaughter Kaelen.
A Celebration of Life is going to be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Royal Oak Burial Park, 4673 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC with reception following at The Lakes (Holiday Inn) on Elk Lake Drive which is across the highway from the burial park.
