Sadly, after a short battle with brain cancer, in the early morning light and the start of the ebb tide, Mick peacefully went to the other side. It was just the way he had hoped, at home surrounded by his clan.
The loss of our Mick is immeasurable, but so is the love he left behind. Mick enjoyed rowing in the Tyee pool and was passionate about soccer, coaching and playing throughout his life. He remained a staunch West Ham supporter till the end.
He is survived by his wife Brigid and children Jane, Neil and Claire. Mick was a kind and good man, and we were blessed to have had his unconditional love. We will miss him deeply.
Thank you to our amazing neighbours, soccer family, friends and family near and far, for the love and support that we have received during this difficult time.
"Some people make a wonderful difference in this world just by being who they are."
