November 18, 1943 - February 28, 2019
Maureen was born in Fort Macleod, AB, to Stanley and Ethel (Armer) Eveson to join her sister Brenda, and to later be joined by her brother Bill. Her grandfather William Armer had come west with the second detachment of the N.W.M.P. and rose to the rank of Sgt.-Major.

Maureen began her working career in nursing and practised in various hospitals in Alberta. She later branched out into the dental field, which became her passion, and where she was to spend over 30 years.

On a cold and windy 20th of February, 1965, she was married to Wilf Bolander, and they observed their 54th anniversary just one week prior to her passing. They had two loving sons, Travis (1967) and Wesley (1970).

The family moved from Calgary to Campbell River in 1980, where Maureen spent over 19 years at Willow Point Dental with Dr. Joe Gris and his wonderful staff, who became a family to her.

Maureen loved walking, whether it was around the block or completing more ambitious treks like "The Great Walk" from Gold River to Tahsis (63.5 km, with a personal best time of 10 hrs 08 min) which she did 8 times! She was also one of only 16 people to complete all 10 years of the Great Lake Walk from Youbou to Lake Cowichan (56km, with a personal best time of 9 hrs 30 min). She did the Grouse Grind, the Vancouver Sun Run, several MS walks, and many Relay for Life walkathons in support of her brother Bill, as part of Team Esso.

Maureen will also be remembered by a generation of Southgate School students including but not limited to Allen, Brent, Craig (Slinger), Dave, Derek, Keith, Kevin, and a host of others who were often found hanging out on Milford Rd at the home of their "Second Mom".

Maureen was pre-deceased by her parents and her brother Bill Eveson of Campbell River, and brothers-in-law Grant Bolander of Calgary, and Stuart Haslett of Fraser Lake, BC.

She is survived by her husband Wilf of Crofton, BC; her son Travis (Jenise, and grand daughters Eloise Helen and Abigail Grace) of Sechelt, BC; her son Wesley (Carla) of Calgary; by her sister Brenda (Ed) Postoloski of Campbell River, and their children Brian (Sharon) Postoloski, Melanie May (Bruce Cowan), and Tanya (Bill) Gordon; her sister-in-law (Wilf's sister) Donna (Bill) Eveson of Campbell River and her children Marta (Craig) MacAulay of Victoria, and Paige Eveson (Dr. Bruce Deagle) of Tasmania; her sister-in-law (Wilf's sister) Bonnie (Stuart) Haslett of Prince George, BC, and her children Micah (Lisa) of Prince George, and Virginia of Ottawa, ON; her grand nephews Brandon, Jesse, and Tanner May, and Nicklas Leslie; her grand nieces Zara Gordon and Analise Haslett.
