Jean, with her family at her side, passed away quietly in the Campbell River Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.
Jean was raised on Quadra Island and spent her married life with husband Bill, raising their family in Campbell River.
Jean is survived by her loving husband Bill and their children; sons, Rick (Wendy), Rocky (Rita), and Steven (Angela) and daughters, Charlene (Dan Cooper) and Perri (Chris Preiss); grandchildren, Marcus, Geoffrey, Magen, Brandon, and Anna; brother, Dudley (Dottie) Richards and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, Reginald and Jean (Jane) Richards, and brothers, Robert, Howard, and Benjamin.
There will be a graveside service in Elk Falls Cemetery on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 1:00pm. A Memorial and Tea will follow service at the Eagles Hall at 1:30 pm.
