Mary Elizabeth Redmond

November 22, 1924 – August 1, 2009

With great sadness we lost a loved one on August 1, 2009. Mary Elizabeth was surrounded by her family at the Campbell River Hospital when she passed away.

Pre-deceased by her Husband Frank, Son Raymond, Mother & Father, Sister Clara, Brothers Alan, Johnny, and Ernie, Nephew Edgar and Step-Grandson Paul.

Left to Celebrate Mary Elizabeth’s Life is Daughter Sharon (Art), Grand-Daughters Tracita (Sasha), Tammy (Bob), Sisters Josephine, Sarah (Ken) Step-Grandchildren David, Ann(Phil), Nieces, Nephews, Extended Family, close friends and her Great-Grand Children Braydon, Rheanna and Ryan who put that familiar smile on her face.

Born in Norquay, SK and worked on the family farm and was a Cook in Logging Camps. Mary Elizabeth moved to Campbell River in 1958 and worked as a Cook at the Willows Hotel until it burnt down and after that she worked at Fred’s Fine Foods, Earl of Sandwich and then back to Fred’s Fine Foods.

Mary Elizabeth was our shining Star. She loved to play Crib, Cards, Bingo and spend time with family and friends. A very “determined” Lady who succeeded in everything she did. The last ten years were the biggest challenges she had to conquer and did it all with a smile.

We would like to thank the 3rd Floor Staff and Program Services at the New Horizons for their care and help and especially their friendly faces.

In lieu of Flowers a Donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Campbell River Cemetery, Highway 19 on Friday August 7th, 2009 at 11.00AM.

Memorial Tributes to the family may be left at www.MeM.com.
