Mary left us in peace and serenity after a short illness, with her loving family by her side.
Beloved sister of Joyce Depew, nephew Harry Depew (Leslie), niece Janice Johnston (Curt), niece Ruth Benjestorf (Michael).
Mary was a loved and cherished Great Aunt to Matthew and Daniel Depew, Catheryn Johnston, Brittany, Nicole and Alex Benjestorf.
She is also survived by her very special Aunt Naomi Johnston (Ralph) of Mt. Vernon, Washington and by many cousins in various parts of Canada and U.S.
Mary was born and educated in Alberta. She then moved to Victoria where she studied lab technology and obtained her degree. She later married and moved to Campbell River where she has resided ever since.
Mary had a very unique and lovable personality and she enjoyed a wide variety of friends. She was an important part of her church family, and she loved to help anyone in need. Mary will truly be missed by her Christian community and we take comfort in knowing that we will see her again.
A memorial service will be held at the Vineyard Church on Saturday, May 6th at 11 o’clock. Pastor Kaardahl officiating.

A special thank you to Dr. Penhall and the nurses on the third floor - and to her two wonderful I.C.U. nurses who kept her so comfortable and cared for.
