In Loving Memory ~
Our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully leaving many wonderful memories for us to cherish.
She was born in Edam, Sask and was one of 8 girls and 1 boy. Mom completed her nurses training and later met and fell in love with Tom Austen, soon to be married in 1944.
Two years later she and our dad, Tom, became parents to Betty, Ron and Deb. Many years later, Betty (Dave), Ron(Holly) and Deb(Gord) were married.
Our husbands/wife were all a big part of moms world. Sadly our dad passed away at the age of 72.
A few lonely years ensued and then she met Frank. They married and became passionate about the game of golf, spending many winters south enjoying their new ‘snowbirds’ lifestyle.
Our mom is survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
We wish to sincerely thank Dr. Domke and the caring staff at the Oak Bay Lodge and the Victoria Summit Robin House.
Mom often said “they are all so good to me”!
Our mom will be greatly missed.
