October 20, 1947 - January 27, 2022
In loving memory ~
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mom and Grandma, Mary Crispin.
She was born on October 20th 1947 in Palmerston, Ontario. She is one of five daughters of Grant and Frances Crispin. Mary and her then husband Norman Koch took over the family farm in Kurtzville Ontario where their family grew with the arrival of 3 children, Jacquie, Jenny and Graham. They moved west to Campbell River, BC, in 1979.
Mom started a career at Canada Post delivering mail for 26+ years retiring in 2010. Soon after she moved to Ladysmith, BC. Mary was a devoted and caring mother, grandmother, sister and an exceptionally good friend. Her sisters describe her as the smartest, most athletic and most popular girl in school. She was an avid curling fan and the Toronto Blue Jays held a special place in her heart.
She passed away at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital with her 3 children at her side. She was cherished by daughters Jacquie (Al) Chellew, Jennifer (Karina) Koch, son Graham (Cindi) Koch and grandchildren Brian, Jenni, Emily, Bethany, great granddaughter Harlow, her sisters Joyce, Ann, Sandy and Debbie and their families as well as her best little buddy Bentley the Beagle.
She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts. And don't worry mom, we will drive safe, drive slow, and we'll call when we get home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
