September 7, 1927 – February 23, 2016

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Anne Phelan.

Mary Anne was born in Glasgow Scotland, and came to Canada as a war bride. She married Robert Lawson Judd and settled in Larder Lake, Ontario. Mary Anne moved to Campbell River in 1988 to join her son and spend time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Legion Woman’s Auxiliary and was also part of the Colour Party. Mary Anne knew how to have fun, as those memories flood through in pictures of little old timer getaways and masquerade parties. Her son and grandchildren were the light of her life and she gave them all her love and passion in her final years.

Mary Anne was predeceased by her husband Robert Lawson Judd and her second husband Sean Phelan. She was also predeceased by her brothers Edward, George, and James. She is survived by her brother William, of Parry Sound Ontario. Left to mourn is her only son Edward Judd (Monica) and grandchildren, Joshua, Thomas and Adam.

Mary Anne lived a long happy life and will be sadly missed. A private service was held by the family.
