Passed away peacefully, Tuesday March 25th, 2003 at the age of 71 years.
He was predeceased by his parents and one brother.
He is survived by two children, four grandchildren and two sisters. He will be missed by his beloved granddaughter, Emily and his dear friend Sipkelina.
Marten was born on February 20, 1932 in Arnhem, Holland and educated in Paris. He moved to Alberta in 1970 where he built homes. In 1980 he moved to BC where he enjoyed sailing on his favorite Kootenay Lake. In 1994 he moved to Campbell River where he retired.
Marten’s interest in Spirituality, Classical Music and History were enhanced by a strong sense of humour.
