Marion Pyne
August 13, 1924 – January 31, 2010
Marion Pyne, also known affectionately by many as Mother Pyne, passed away at the Campbell River Regional Hospital on January 31, 2010. She is survived by her loving husband, Bruce (B.C.), her 4 children – Barry (Dorothy), Dale (Cheryl), Maureen (Bruce) Cydeyko and Myles (Sharon) and her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marion was born in Manchester, England on August 13, 1924 and came to Canada as a British war-bride. She always supported Bruce in his endeavors and was a stay-at-home mom until her children were teenagers. She then worked for many years at the Deerhome in Red Deer where she also taught crafts to the patients. Marion was very involved with the Red Deer Legion #35 and the Ladies’ Auxiliary until she moved to Campbell River when Bruce retired.
Marion will be remembered as a kind and gentle person with a great love of knitting and shopping.
