Marion Lily WATSON

December 25, 2004

Watson,

Marion Lily

Passed peacefully at Yucalta Lodge, Campbell River, B.C. on Christmas morning. Because of her abiding faith, she now rests with her Lord.

Lily Seymour was born March 23rd, 1914, in St. James Manitoba. A June bride, she wed the late Lister F. Watson in 1935. Loved mother to David (Keri), Murwillumbah, Australia; Maisie (Bert Lukacin), Campbell River; Lorna, Ucluelet, B.C.; L.J. “Jim” (Helma), Winnipeg Beach, MB, and Ronald (Barbara), Kamloops, B.C. Beloved “Grams” to nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, Lily is survived by many dear nephews and nieces, and special friends: Peggy Compton, Joan Kirk, Betsy Lewis and Peggy Watson.

Lily loved children and cared for many foster babies over the years. Self-taught, she played the organ and mandolin. Needlecraft being a big part of her life, Lily was a member of “The Kay Norton Sewing Circle”. She was known for some time as “The Doll Lady”, for the recycled dolls with hand-sewn costumes, that she gave away at every opportunity.

To the staff of Homestead Cottage, without exception, Thank you for all your care, support and love during the past eight years, (Especially all those hugs!).

If desired, donations to the Yucalta Lodge, c/o The Campbell River Hospital and Yucalta Lodge Foundation would be appreciated. Funeral service was held at the Campbell River Baptist Church on Thursday, December 30th, 2004. Interment in Parksville, B.C.
