It is with heavy heart that we announce the passage of Marilyn Leona Whitlow on August 17, 2019.
Marilyn's beautiful smile, kind heart, and wise council has brought comfort and joy to the many lives she's touched. Her strong character could always be counted on in times of need.
Marilyn's greatest joys in life were spending time with her family. She enjoyed many creative pursuits such as; interior decorating, sewing, gardening and entertaining. Marilyn and husband Ron loved practical jokes. Over the years they created many prank gifts for their friends at Penny Lane and amazing Halloween costumes for their grandchildren.
Marilyn's grew up in Burnaby with her five siblings and parents. She went to work right after graduation. Her careers were as varied as her hobbies. She has been a hair stylist and Salon owner, a conveyancing secretary, a legal secretary, and a proud member of Tynehead Zoological society in its formative years.
Marilyn held numerous positions within Crown Zellerbach and left a position in Maintenance and Planning department to help Joe Meyer in the start up of "Campbell River Health and Drug Store."
She is predeceased by her parents Madeline Ferber (nee Baumann), Philip Ferber; sisters Caroline Ferber and Margarette Brooke; brother- in-law Robert Marshall, nephew Robbie Marshall and grandson Marcus Haslehurst. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband and friend Ron, sister Shelia Marshall; brothers Philip Ferber (wife Jill Ferber) and Steven Ferber (wife Carol Ferber); daughters Michelle Haslehurst (nee Lambert) (Gregory), Denise Whitlow, Michele Spracklin (husband Aleck Spracklin); son Travis Lambert (wife Rhonda Lambert); granddaughters Sarah Wilkinson (Adam), Luna Seyelitz, Raven Seyelitz; grandsons Nathan Lambert, Mathew Wilkinson (Kaitlyn), Kyle Lambert, Ace Spracklin and great grandson Braxton Lambert.
Private cremation arrangements.

Mom... you were the light in our lives and our anchor. You will be missed.
