It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Marilyn Alice Pothier of Port Hardy on the early hours of July 19, 2019. Predeceased by her husband Jim Pothier and brother Charles Coffin, she leaves behind her daughters Sara (Todd) Landon, Marie (Ken) Bell, and Angela (Jim) Clair; grandchildren Aimee, Matthew, Alyssa, Brendan, Kristen, Kayley and Carol-ann; great grandchildren Isaac, Maverick and David, and great, great grandson Carson; siblings Frances, Ola, Carol, and Billy along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Marilyn will be remembered as an exceptional wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandma; full of love and support to her family. Her kindness, conversations over tea, emails and phone calls with relatives afar will be missed but remembered.
A special thank-you to Dr. Lee and the nursing staff of the Port Hardy Hospital where Marilyn passed peacefully with the presence of her daughters.
A gathering of family and friends in celebration of her life will take place on August 18, 2019 at 3 pm at St. Columba's Anglican-United Church in Port Hardy, 9190 Granville Street, with a BBQ to follow at the pavilion located at Storey's Beach.
Marilyn is now reunited with her husband James where she will be able to rest in peace. We will love and forever miss her.
For those wishing, donations in Marilyn's memory can be made to the Salvation Army in Port Hardy or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
