In Loving Memory ~
With a great sense of loss and sadness our family shares the passing of Marian; on November 16th, 2024 at the age of 86.
Marian was the eldest of 3 children and was raised in a happy, loving family. Marian married her husband Bill at the age of 17 and was married for 62 years before Bill passed away. They moved with their two daughters to Campbell River in 1964.
Marian took a job at BC Telephone/Telus as a telephone operator and later a clerk. Marian and Bill purchased a small acreage in Black Creek where they raised many animals and always had a massive garden. Marian loved planting in her gardens, reading gardening books and cook books. Family meals cooked by Marian were always spectacular.
After retiring in 1994, the two travelled Canada and the United States for quite a few years in their RV. Marian was a strong, loving mother that put her family before all else and cherished them dearly. She had many close friends that she shared memorable trips and experiences with. Time spent with her family and friends laughing and making memories made her most happy. Traveling, gardening, cooking, winning a game of crib or reading a good book always gave her pleasure.
Marian will always be loved and remembered by her daughters Debbie and Lori (Cam), brother Wayne, nieces and nephews. Marian cherished her 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Marian raised many dogs over the years and left her last dog Yogi to Debbie to raise and spoil as she did. Predeceased by her husband Bill, parents Leo and Lucille, sister Dorothy, brother-in-law Ron and son in law Don.
A special thank you to Marian's extended family and friends for their support.
Thank you to the Yuculta Hospice for their care and attention. A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2025.
