Margaret Joan (Peggy) JACQUES

May 22, 2006

Jacques,

Margaret Joan

(Peggy)

Today, May 22, 2006, Mum slipped away in her 92nd year after a brief illness.

Peggy was born in the huge metropolis of Monte Creek (population 47 on a good day) on August 25th, 1914. In 1935 she graduated at the top of her class from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Victoria, winning the gold medal for her efforts. Her nursing career took her up and down the coast of B.C. and Vancouver Island concentrating in another megalopolis, Rock Bay, where she met Paul and married in 1940. When time permitted, she was a dedicated member of the Anglican Church, Fat Club, Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile. She leaves three devoted children and their spouses, six surviving grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She has now found peace to be with Nanny, Dad, Vin and Leslie.

BEES MUM

A memorial service and tea will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church/Hall commencing at 3:00pm on June 2nd.

Peggy would have been honoured if you choose to remember her by a donation to the Campbell River Hospital Foundation.
