In Loving Memory ~ Margaret "Doreen" (Stanley) Jamieson passed away peacefully on September 21, 2021 at the age of 90.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Donna McBride (Rick), Deborah Sorensen (Doug).
Grandchildren: Dustin (Sharlene), Mark, Bobbie (Mike) Nykole, Christian (Taylor), great grandchildren: Brennan, Anna, Amber, Robyn, nephew Forrest Robinson along with numerous extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her granddaughter Robyn Lynn.
"Doreen" as many who knew her, was born in Toronto, Ontario on June 29, 1931. She worked at the Campbell River General Hospital as a dietary aide for over 22 years.
Mom loved to travel to numerous places, especially to England and Hawaii. She was an avid golfer and spent many a day on the Sequoia Golf course. She was active with the Campbell River Legion Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed playing competitive darts there. As well she enjoyed bridge and cribbage. Mom's faith was very important to her and she attended and volunteered at St. Peter's Anglican Church.
Her children and grandchildren waited in anticipation every Christmas for her famous shortbread cookies which she was known for.
Thank you to the Ponoka Hospital for their professional care and compassion. Cremation has taken place and she will be interned in the family plot located in Parry Sound ON.
