In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Magnell Usipuik. Mom passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband John (2020), they were married for over 70 years; and son's Sly (1971), Glen (1956), Randy (1977) and Alan (2016). Mom is survived by her sons Nester (Cindy) and Rodney; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Mom was born on a farm in Saskatchewan. Our parents farmed in Wynyard, Saskatchewan. They moved to Campbell River in 1957, back then it was a village and now a beautiful city. Mom was the matriarch, she spoke her mind and we listened.
Mom was the one who put Band-Aids over our cuts and made everything better again. Mom was a member of the Royal Purple for over 30 years. Thing's that brought joy to her were, family, many friends, a pet dog (Baby), gardens, sewing, crafts, her heritage, home cooking, baking and her many achievement awards. A phenomenal thank you to the staff at Yucalta Lodge who provided care with a gentle touch, kind words, grace and dignity.
A private interment of moms ashes will take place at a future date at Campbell River Elk Falls Cemetery, Gold River Highway.
