Maggi Rita
Maggi Rita Bird passed away May 14, 2005 in Nanaimo, BC. She was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on May 31, 1936.
She is survived by her three daughters Betty (Bob), Ann (Richard) and Linda (Chris), brothers Finn (Shirley), Knud (Coke) and sister Kate, 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Maggi was predeceased by her sister Grete, parents Marie and Kristian and her husband William Reginald Bird.
Maggi was co-owner of Valley Maid Bakery from 1992 to 2002 when she retired. She loved to cook and could always be found in Valley Maid’s kitchen.
A celebration of her life was held in the Tearoom at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road (lower entrance) in Abbotsford on Thursday, May 19th, 2005 at 1:30 pm.
