Of Campbell River, BC passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 10th, 2002 at Sunshine Lodge of Campbell River, BC where she had been a resident. She was 91 years of age. Mabel was born in Calgary, AB on September 10th, 1910 where she lived and took her schooling. She met and eventually married her beloved husband Harry on October 4th, 1926. They raised a family of eight children, and Mabel dedicated herself to her family and home. The home was always spic and span and was the place for her children, their friends and the neighbours, the kitchen table was the center of activity for food and conversation. Her beloved husband Harry predeceased Mabel in 1973. She is survived by her eight children, Agnes (Middleton) of Calgary, AB, Harry Jr. of Calgary, AB, Lillian (Totten) of Calgary, AB, Vivian (Carter) of Calgary, AB, Bernice (Arthur) of Victoria, BC, William of Calgary, AB, Barbara (Jones) of Surrey, BC, Philip of Campbell River, BC and her sister Lillian Ettinger of Courtenay, BC. Mabel will be greatly missed by her family which includes a very lengthy list of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Cremation with interment to follow in Queens Park Cemetery in Calgary, AB in the family plot next to her beloved husband Harry. A celebration of life will be held for Mabel in Calgary with the date to be announced.
