April 3, 1923 - February 4, 2014

Lou passed away peacefully at Campbell River Hospital with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his brothers Enrico and Peter Guidi, sister Isabella Dalcol and his parents Pietro and Umile Guidi (nee Coli) and daughter-in-law Sophia Guidi. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Anna Mary Guidi (nee Reiter), his son David Guidi, his grandchildren Jason Guidi and Angela Guidi, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lou was born in Filicaia-Lucca, Italy. He worked as a draftsman for Boeing Aircraft during World War II and then in the automotive industry, sales and management all of his life. In his leisure time his passions were fishing and golfing and he had numerous fishing trips with his grandchildren on rivers and streams. In life he was soft-spoken and generous with a gentle manner. He adored his grandchildren and his nephews and nieces. He will be dearly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Campbell River on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 11:00am with reception to follow.
