Louis Donald Robinson

November 28, 1930 – August 13, 2022
In loving memory ~
Dad passed away peacefully at home per his wishes with family by his side.
Predeceased by his wife Marlys (2009). Survived by daughters: Louise (Ernie) Lorentz, Barbara (Art) Bowbrick & Janice Robinson, grandchildren: Aaron (Lisa) Lorentz, Arthur (Kristin) Bowbrick, Gordon (Xin) Bowbrick, Maryah Robinson-Hearty & her father Joe Hearty, great granddaughters: Lily, Laikyn, Halle, Piper, Braylee and Holly & a great grandson due in early October, his sister Marge Paton & numerous nieces and nephews.
Dad was fortunate to have found love again with Cathie Coulter. She put the twinkle back in Dad’s eyes.
Thank you to Doctors Simon & Pete Friedrich and the home & palliative care teams. Special thanks to Sarah, Leslie-Ann, Lisa, Mary-Ellen & Lynn for their care of Dad and to Len & Lora the best neighbors ever.
Dad arrived in Campbell River in 1956 to work at Elk Falls Mill (where he remained until his retirement in 1990). He & Marlys married in 1957 & during the coming years their family expanded by three with the birth of their daughters.
Dad enjoyed family, fishing, camping, traveling and his crew at the mill. He was a jack of all trades & was always willing to lend a hand.
TooDaLoo Dad, until we meet again
A Celebration of Life will be held Sept 10, 2022, 12-3pm at his home. In Dad’s memory, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
