Lorna passed away at home with her loving husband by her side on October 21, 2014. Lorna was diagnosed with lung cancer just six months after celebrating her 50th anniversary in Mexico on September 27, 2013, with all her children and grandchildren.
Lorna is predeceased by her parents Jack and Ivy Shannon, her sister Arlene, nephew Raymond and great-nephew Corbin.
Lorna is survived by her loving family; husband Bernie; sons Brian, Brent and Scott (Tess) as well as her very loving grandchildren Brenden, Jesse, Cameron, Lee and Shayleen. She is also survived by her sister Sheila (Bob).
Many thanks to Drs. Walker and Prinsloo as well as a very special thanks to the home care nurses Barb, Marlene and the rest of their team. They made Lorna’s final journey comfortable.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Sutton’s Campbell River Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
