February 3, 1933 - December 17, 2019
We are profoundly saddened to announce that Lois Wiley passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on December 17th. Lois was beautiful and graceful to the end.
Lois was born in Maymont, Saskatchewan to Stanley and Lita Bohn. She married the love of her life, Ralph Wiley, in 1952 and they moved with their three little girls to Vancouver Island in 1954. A devoted mother and wife, Lois enjoyed an exciting and fun-filled time with Ralph exploring the great outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping in the wilderness, as well as participating in a myriad of activities, including softball, curling, stock car racing, and homemaking.
Lois's love of music never left her throughout her struggle with Alzheimer's and she performed a weekly Sing-Along for all the residents at her care home. Lois was always pleased to see that others were happy, and she made time to listen to people and treated everyone respectfully. She was dearly loved for her selfless and gentle nature and her willingness to help others.
Lois leaves behind her four daughters, Brenda Leigh, Beth Hall (Wilf), Blanche Davis (Dave), Beverly Armstrong (Terry) and her only son, Brian (Monica) and all their families, including 11 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. Lois adored them all!
Flowers gratefully declined. Please pass on Lois's spirit of kindness by doing something nice for someone! Spend quality time with your kids and grandkids and enjoy life with them while you can. Special thanks to Dr. Prinsloo and the Staff at Discovery Care Seniors' Centre who always provided exceptional care to our Mom.
Private cremation arrangements.
We will miss you so much, Mom, but we take comfort in the thought that Ralph will soon have his "BONNIE" back! Godspeed, and see you on the other side!
