It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and good friend Linda Gark. She passed away with her family by her side on May 18. She fought a courageous battle with cancer. Linda was born April 8, 1940 in Vancouver, B.C., she moved to Vancouver Island in 1951, she then moved to Alert Bay where she raised her 5 children. In 1983 Linda moved to Campbell River where she became an avid Bingo player and bowler. She loved her family and grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. She loved to go on trips, walking and camping. Linda owned the Yarn Barn in Campbell River for 8 years, and sold Avon for 7 years. She was an independent woman of great strength, courage and determination. She will be remembered and greatly missed by her family and many friends. Linda was predeceased by her stepson Leslie Gark in 2002. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband Raymond Gark, her children Leslie Jolliffe (Alert Bay), Laurie Jolliffe (Edmonton, Alberta), Cathy Green (Lorrie), Campbell River, Lenny Jolliffe (Sue), Campbell River, Richard Jolliffe (Juanita), Surrey, B.C., nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a stepdaughter Gail Kennedy.

Service of Remembrance in Celebration of her Life will be held on Monday, May 29th at 11:00am from the Church of the Way, 451-7th Avenue, Campbell River, with Pastor Kent Rogers officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Eagles Hall. ISLAND FUNERAL SERVICES/ELK FALLS CREMATORIUM entrusted with arrangements.
